You do NOT belong to the government

They told you to comply. They told you to sit down. They told you to shut up and trust them.

And while you were busy surviving, they were busy taking your rights.

Let’s be clear: your rights do NOT come from the government. The government exists because the people allow it.

The Texas Constitution, Article I, Section 2, says it plain:

“All political power is inherent in the people.”

Not politicians.Not agencies.Not police departments.THE PEOPLE.

But look at how we’re living.

The state pressures you to surrender your rights, then hands that power down to counties and cities. Those cities build agencies that think authority means dominance. They stop you. They search you. They fine you. They lock you up. And then they tell you it’s “just the law.”

No.That’s abuse of power.

Article I, Section 9 of the Texas Bill of Rights says you are protected from unreasonable searches and seizures.Article I, Section 13 says excessive bail and cruel punishment are forbidden.Article I, Section 19 says no citizen shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due course of law.

So why are Texans being treated like suspects in their own neighborhoods? Why do working people feel hunted instead of protected? Why do politicians feel untouchable while citizens feel disposable?

Because somewhere along the way, the government stopped fearing the people—and started ruling them.

Our Founders warned us about this.

Article I, Section 29 says the Bill of Rights “shall forever remain inviolate.”That means non-negotiable.That means not optional. That means not subject to political convenience.

Yet here we are—with career politicians rewriting reality, expanding power, protecting themselves, and calling it leadership.

They don’t work for you anymore. They work for donors. They work for party machines. They work for systems that keep them rich and you controlled.

And all of it is paid for with YOUR tax money.

Let me say this loud so it reaches the back of the crowd:

👉 You do NOT belong to the government.👉 The government belongs to YOU.

And when public servants start acting like rulers, the Constitution gives the people one peaceful, powerful weapon:

THE BALLOT.

This is not about left vs right. This is not about red vs blue. This is about the people vs corruption.

If you’re tired of being treated like property…If you’re tired of being talked down to by people who wouldn’t survive one week in your shoes…If you’re tired of laws that punish the poor and protect the powerful…

Then stand up.

Learn your rights.Demand accountability.Replace every politician who forgot who they work for.

My name is John Washington III, and I’m running for Texas Governor because Texas does not need more rulers—it needs servants. It needs leadership that honors the Texas Constitution, defends the Bill of Rights, and puts power back in the hands of the people where it belongs.

This is not violence. This is not chaos.

This is constitutional resistance.

A rebellion at the ballot box.

A movement grounded in law, dignity, and truth.

Texas belongs to the people. Not the politicians.

John Washington III for Texas Governor.

Join the movement.
